So we should pay attention to our habits and work on replacing the bad ones with the good ones like Jody Victor shares here...

Exchanging a bad habit with a good one can present enormous and to some impossible challenges. It takes time. Over time we overwrite our brain with the more productive behavior.

Williams James suggested three keys to acquiring new habits and losing old ones: (1) start the desired behavior immediately; (2) consistently repeat the behavior until it seems a natural rather than an acquired trait; and (3) express the new behavior as soon and as often as possible.
Any of us who have started and stayed with a new exercise program, have experiences this success formula for ourselves.

The year was 1861; Julia Ward Howe was watching the campfires of soldiers bivouacked around Washington DC, when the words that became the lyrical poem “The Battle Hymn of the Republic” began flowing into her mind.
