Fred Harteis: Importance of Purpose
"WOW! My friend Fred Harteis nailed it on this one!" - Billy Florence, Team DCI
by Fred Harteis
We are all on this earth for a purpose, not just to make it to the weekend, and then sit back and watch T.V. until we are bored to death. Our prisons are full because many men and woman have not found a good enough purpose for their life. The American people can have everything they want; the trouble is they often don’t know what they want. The tragedy of the world is that men and woman have first class loyalty to second-class causes and these causes have betrayed them.
Our existence is a gift. What we do with it is a choice. One of our greatest freedoms as an American is our ability to choose.
I challenge you to think of others more than think of self.
I challenge you to set big goals that will help others and in return you will be blessed.
I challenge you to be an up lifter of people rather than wait to be uplifted.
You are a success not by what you have, but rather by how many you serve. Find your niche and ask what you can give rather than what you can receive. Rewards of life come to the one who gives, not the one who wishes or waits. God has power into you great gifts of talent, ability and energy. Go forth and live life with a grand purpose and commitment and you will receive fulfillment and joy.
