Florence Team Work – Insights: They Always Say

Years of owning and building businesses have provided me with the opportunity to meet and learn from some truly amazing people. You might be surprised to learn that people who achieve in sports, business, and public service have more in common than a casual observer might guess.

Q. What could a winning basketball coach, top CEOs, prime ministers and presidents have in common?

A. They tend to think differently than most people but very much like each other.

I don’t mean they vacation in Florida or order extra pepperoni on their pizza. They think alike about things that make a championship difference. What things? Things like daily habits, focus, teamwork, responsibility and integrity.

We regularly hear this phrase, “Well, you know what they always say…"

Here’s what champions always say…

The will to win is not nearly as important as the will to prepare to win. Great men are not born but become great through adversity and persistence. - Fred Harteis, President Harteis International

You will never change your life until you change something you do daily. - John Maxwell, Author and Consultant

Be the difference you want to see in the world. - Mahatma Gandhi, Activist

You can work miracles by having faith in others. To get the best out of people, choose to think and believe the best about them. - Billy Florence, Entrepreneur & Former President of IBOAI

Always bear in mind that your own resolution to succeed is more important than any other. - Abraham Lincoln, President United States

Teamwork divides the task and doubles the success. - Orrin Woodward, Co-Founder Team

It’s what you learn after you know it all that counts. - John Wooden, Basketball Coach

If you want something said, ask a man. If you want something done, ask a woman. - Margaret Thatcher, Prime Minister
